Outlook: “We definitely took a hit from graduation last year especially on the defensive side of the ball,” Clark said. “I believe we have enough talent to be a very competitive team once again. It often boils down to how disciplined we can be as an overall team. The more disciplined this team can be, the more games we will win. Freshman running back Jaisaun Ousley takes it 31 yards for the touchdown. Coyote quarterback @KaydenPace2’s pass attempt then somehow ends up in the hands of his intended receiver for the successful 2-point conversion. @Westcreek_FB holds on to defeat the Colonels 8-7.

Outlook: “One of our team strengths would be our speed at the skill positions this year,” Figueroa said. “We recruited a lot of track athletes to come play this year and it should provide some much-needed depth at wide receiver and defensive back. We also pulled a few linemen from the hallways, so that should provide some beef up front to play in a really talented 6A region. One of our team weaknesses would be the inexperience of some of our older guys. We have some talented juniors that are playing football for the first time, so we must get them up to speed and ready to play at the varsity level instead of building them up through junior varsity.”
